#Sup?

Cat ran a series of theatre workshops called #Sup? On the last session they did a presentation. Laxmi had a cold and missed out that day but Varsha was there.

Going away and staying home

John and Varsha and Laxmi took me to the airport to fly to Tennant Creek to do some work.
Tennant Creek was beautiful.
Varsha and Laxmi painted the toilet while I was away.

Cold weather begins

These are catch up posts from June.

We had a great op shop one day. Varsha found a real old Polaroid and some tartan pants and a fabulously retro book and a James Pond T-shirt.
Laxmi was excited about the books. She wanted to buy lots but settled on a dictionary, a thesaurus and a find a thing book.
Varsha and Laxmi took videos of Rupert giving a talk about the trees on Babbler Hill
Tim and Louie came to stay. We went for a walk down the Bump Track with them.
Luca taught Varsha how to play speed and she taught us how to play.
The sun came out after lots of drizzly days
Marmalade making.

Undara Lava Tubes

We went to Undara Lava Tubes with the homeschoolers in May. We went on a tour through the lava tubes. There was a camp concert. On the way home we stopped at Innot Hot Springs. The water was really hot!

John took Varsha and Luca to the drive in for Flicks for Floods fundraiser. They watched Paper Planes and Red Dog. Varsha and Luca sat on the roof until it started raining.

John and Varsha and Tekira went to see Endgame at the cinema. Laxmi and I went to the aquarium whie they were watching the movie. we had some lunch in the cafe next to the huge tank with a friendly fish that came to see every new diner that came to sit at the tables by the tank.

Varsha continues to draw and watch The Office, Merlin and Sherlock.

Love, sunshine, happiness,

Laxmi continues to write, read Harry Potter and play Pokemon Ultra Sun.

Varsha and Laxmi have been finding more and more ways to make use of he remnants of the obstacle course from Laxmi’s birthday. Varsha can catapult Laxmi if Laxmi jumps at just the right time.

Lunch in the tree house
Watercolours en plein air
Varsha has been writing down her dreams

Varsha made banana pancakes from a new recipe for Mother’s Day. They made a black cockie card and repainted an old painting that had faded with oil paints.

John took these great photos of some of the frogs living in our house..

Varsha and Laxmi are practicing push ups every day for a week. They are hoping to improve.

Colours and folding

Dakoda has come over to play a few times this week. She and Laxmi have done lots of drawing and one day they had an origami session. They made kimonos, butterflies and boxes.

Laxmi has been experimenting with the settings on her computer screens. It is interesting to think about what colours are opposite each other.

Laxmi made a little pillow cubby and read lots of Harry Potter.

We looked up what a luau is and what kind of music they play at a luau.

Easter

It has been so beautiful. The full moon was so big in the sky even in the morning.

We made hot cross buns together…

and had them for breakfast.

We had lunch at Kerrima with Cat and Will and Cosi and Thiango and Miyako and Nature and baby Maru. There was delicious food and an Easter egg hunt.

Going to the Asia Pacific Triennial in Brisbane

John gave us enough points to buy 2 tickets to go to Brisbane to see the Asia Pacific Triennial at the Gallery of Modern Art. We started the trip off well with cream cheese bagels for breakfast at the airport.

We caught the airport train to the city and met up with Lisa and Hugo who took us back to their new house.

Joyce Ho

We really enjoyed having so much time to look at all the artworks. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Stu and Stephanie and Katie for lunch at the Art Gallery.
