Music, Morse code and making things

Varsha has been learning Morse code
We have been giving the Morris a clean up. Varsha wants to drive it when she gets her license.
Laxmi and Dakoda installed a punching bag feature on the obstacle course.
We washed and photographed the Duplo to put up on Ebay

Varsha and Luca and Thiango hav started to build a fort down the back of our block. John and Varsha went out and collected some bamboo.

Varsha made banana pancakes for our Sunday breakfast.
I love our new toilet paint work.

We went to see Thiango playing in a musical called 13 in Port Douglas

Varsha and Laxmi have been playing piano and singing together.
And playing chess using a timer.

Cosmo turns 10

Cairns Indigenous Art Fair

We were happy to finish up our annual homeschool reports.

Lisa took us out for Japanese dinner and we stayed the night in her apartment in the city.

#Sup?

Cat ran a series of theatre workshops called #Sup? On the last session they did a presentation. Laxmi had a cold and missed out that day but Varsha was there.

Going away and staying home

John and Varsha and Laxmi took me to the airport to fly to Tennant Creek to do some work.
Tennant Creek was beautiful.
Varsha and Laxmi painted the toilet while I was away.

Cold weather begins

These are catch up posts from June.

We had a great op shop one day. Varsha found a real old Polaroid and some tartan pants and a fabulously retro book and a James Pond T-shirt.
Laxmi was excited about the books. She wanted to buy lots but settled on a dictionary, a thesaurus and a find a thing book.

Tim and Louie came to stay. We went for a walk down the Bump Track with them.
Luca taught Varsha how to play speed and she taught us how to play.

Undara Lava Tubes

We went to Undara Lava Tubes with the homeschoolers in May. We went on a tour through the lava tubes. There was a camp concert. On the way home we stopped at Innot Hot Springs. The water was really hot!
