Colours and folding

Dakoda has come over to play a few times this week. She and Laxmi have done lots of drawing and one day they had an origami session. They made kimonos, butterflies and boxes.

Laxmi has been experimenting with the settings on her computer screens. It is interesting to think about what colours are opposite each other.

Laxmi made a little pillow cubby and read lots of Harry Potter.

We looked up what a luau is and what kind of music they play at a luau.

Easter

It has been so beautiful. The full moon was so big in the sky even in the morning.

We made hot cross buns together…

and had them for breakfast.

We had lunch at Kerrima with Cat and Will and Cosi and Thiango and Miyako and Nature and baby Maru. There was delicious food and an Easter egg hunt.

Going to the Asia Pacific Triennial in Brisbane

John gave us enough points to buy 2 tickets to go to Brisbane to see the Asia Pacific Triennial at the Gallery of Modern Art. We started the trip off well with cream cheese bagels for breakfast at the airport.

We caught the airport train to the city and met up with Lisa and Hugo who took us back to their new house.

Joyce Ho

We really enjoyed having so much time to look at all the artworks. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Stu and Stephanie and Katie for lunch at the Art Gallery.

Going to see Oliver!

We went to see Thiango’s opening night in the musical Oliver at the Clink Theatre in Port Douglas this week. We all really enjoyed it.

It’s been raining every day still. It’s getting cooler though.

Varsha and Laxmi have had music again.

The markets were on.

And young creatives. Varsha has been working on her prototypes for production items.

Dakoda has come over for a play a few times. Laxmi and Dakoda made some beaded jewellery.
