We went to Sugar World waterpark for Jazz’s 16th birthday party. It was lots of fun!

Varsha has been doing more experimenting with embroidery.

She has been drawing heaps, working on her hydra head for young creatives and practising piano. She made a sample board of the different effects she got colouring white nylon fur.

Laxmi came out to walk Kiko early one cold morning. Who loved the little spider webs in the grass.

She has been gardening and practising tumbles and ninja kicks. She just started brain training using an app called Elevate.

We are loving music classes. Laxmi has started having piano classes too. The water is getting cold at the creek now.

Laxmi made a beautiful graph of the votes in the tree ballot.

We have been playing mental maths games. Laxmi found out raccoons can remember really complicated combination locks!

She made magnetic slime and sparkly slime and fluffy slime with Cosmo and Dakoda and Cat Nd Thiango.

Varsha has been painting her room and working on her new desk and shelves with John.

We went to Cairns to get a new fridge and saw the Del Kathryn Barton exhibition at the Cairns Regional Gallery. It showed how she made a fabulous film of her paintings with an animation studio. Varsha took this cool photo of her shoe in the car park at Bunnings.

Varsha has been researching leg of mutton sleeves and Scandinavian embroidery for the characters she is creating for a story.

We looked through old lace to find something for Varsha to patch together to make patchwork lace curtains for her room.

Kiko is loved.

Varsha had a sleepover with Bila and Thiango the night before the Yak Yak performance.

We drove down to the Cairns Esplanade and got ready behind the stage. They did balanced and hooping and a slow motion running race. Laxmi thought it went way too quickly and wanted to do more.

We stayed for a swim in the lagoon and dinner on the grass watching the fireworks. There is a festival happening as part of the Commonwealth Games.

Varsha has been trying hand embroidery. She has also been experimenting with making new parts from putty for her Monster High doll makeovers.

We had another music session at the hall with the Homeschoolers.

Laxmi had her own honey joy stall at the markets. Varsha went to her second Young Creatives session at the Cairns Regional Art Gallery with Cat and Thiango.

We have had some nice swims at the creek. A new 13 year old homeschooling girl moved in down the road. She came along to the creek twice and came over for a play one day.

Laxmi and I counted the votes in the Mount Molloy tree ballot to decide which trees to plant on the way into town.

We went to Mareeba and took the truck to the mechanic and went to the library and the op shop.

We are growing okra!

There was another Yak Yak rehearsal on Easter Sunday.

We had sourdough hot cross buns this year.

In the afternoon we had a Easter egg hunt and dinner together with Cat and Will and Thiango and Cosi
