Varsha and Laxmi and Kiko went to the Top Shop and bought some ice for the esky.

Ulla and Peder came and we talked about Kiko and the garden and where the taps are.

We finished packing the car and saying goodbye to Kiko and the chickens and the fish and the house and Ulla and Peder.

We got to Mareeba and we were all hungry so we stopped at the kebab shop. Something new before we left Mareeba!

Laxmi has been reading out loud to us about comets from the Children’s Encyclopaedia.

We drove down the windy Gillies range. Varsha and Laxmi navigating with the map.

We got to Babinda Boulders with not much time to set up camp before it got dark. There were mozzies and March flies and cold showers but the campsite was pretty and the cheesy pasta was delicious and the tent cosy and the bed very welcome and comfy.

We saw a little Beilby eating a mango near our tent. It rained in the night.
