We had an optometrist check up in Port Douglas. Varsha and Laxmi’s eyes are all good.

We went to the sushi train afterwards and the nice waiter told us all about the fish in the big fish tanks. Varsha explained to Laxmi how to add up the values of the different coloured plates to find out what we owed.

We went to the beach and it was perfect. We found a nice shady spot on the sand, the water was a perfect temperature and we played in the waves for ages.

Varsha is planning to redecorate her room and we went to the second hand furniture shop and the op shop looking for a reading chair and a side table.

We had to go home to see John for a few hours before he went away again. He was going camping in Karumba after being in Brisbane where he bought a new tent. It is specially easy to put up so we can use it on our road trip while John is away in November. So Varsha and Laxmi helped him test it out before he left. They thought the boxes the tent was packed in made excellent outfits as well.
