Laxmi and I went to the Monsoon palace with Gerry and Eric and Ganeshji and his wife and Neetu’s parents. Ganeshji carried Laxmi up to the palace.

The view was enormous. We could see Udaipur out one way and the road across the mountains we took when we went to Chandwas on the other side. There was a display of wildlife photos inside the palace.

Laxmi fed the monkeys in the carpark papads.

At the bottom of the hill was a new wildlife sanctuary. We saw bears and cheetahs and jackals and deer. It was a long hot walk around all the enclosures. Ganeshji had Honey with us too.

David and Rita’s house is on the road to the monsoon palace. We stopped and had our picnic there. Laxmi was keen to play chess with Prem again.

We were really tired by the time we got home. Varsha had been skyping with Lara and Thiango and drawing while we were out.
