We had a lovely day today. We walked over the Kurilpa bridge to GOMA. Varsha’s was not very happy that there was a picture of a tree on the wall of a building where she thought there should have been a real tree.
We saw a whole family of dragons in the park next to GOMA. APT8 was on at the art gallery. We loved the giant drawing on the big wall in the foyer. There was a whispered wish recording booth that made wishes rain from the speakers on the ceiling. There was a Japanese artist who made artworks inspired by the small shrines around the streets of Kyoto. We loved the Indian artist who jumped in slow motion in his Spider-Man suit in his grandma’s lounge room and all the kids activities, especially the neon monster construction.
We met up with Lisa and Hugo for Japanese dinner and outdoor movies at the Southbank beach. Laxmi went swimming and Varsha and Hugo made a big castle. Then there were fireworks and we walked back up the river and over the lit up bridge to our room.
