John had a meeting at Cape Tribulation. We all went with him. We crossed the river on the car ferry. We talked about protests and civil disobedience. I read out loud from Glenville Pike’s history of Cape York.

We dropped John off at his meeting. It was right near one of our favourite places to swim. There were lots of fish and some that looked like eels. There were wild gardenia flowers floating in the water, and big purple cassowary plums.

There are beautiful ochres at this waterhole. We collected some and Varsha and Laxmi made an ochre shop. John came to the creek after his meeting. We had a picnic.

Some German visitors came and asked Varsha about the ochre. Varsha showed them. They put ochre on themselves. Varsha took a photo of them.

It was very peaceful and relaxing there.
