Varsha wanted to trim her hair so we went and made an appointment for her.

We went to the old Nishiko food markets that John remembered from 20 years ago. We tasted lots of pickles and sweets and seaweed. We went to an eel restaurant for lunch. A man was roasting eel over charcoal by the front door.

We bought Varsha and Laxmi t shirts that say big sister and little sister in Japanese. We went inside a knife shop.

Varsha finished another drawing over dinner. We stopped at the supermarket on the way home and bought some supplies. Varsha had a chocolate mousse for dessert.

Laxmi loves her little sister t shirt so much she doesn’t want to take it off.
