We did science experiments with the homeschoolers this week.

We had a few experiments about the human body. We challenged our reflexes with catching a $10 note dropped between our fingers. We took turns measuring our lung capacity. That experiment almost didn’t work: All our plastic bags had holes in them! Rhyvers went home and got some balloons that rescued the situation.

We also challenged our lungs to make a ping pong ball levitate by blowing through a straw.

We had life size charts of the skeleton and a small model of the body with bones and squishy organs. There were lots of other science books and Catherine brought in her computer and we watched some funny Russians do science experiments and a man super sizing science experiments on the Ellen show.

Michelle brought in some kits to make bouncy balls. They were a lot of fun. You put crystals inside a mould and put the whole thing in water.

There was even time to share some food and play tiggy and fly.
