It was time for Thursday dancing class. Laxmi enjoyed the last class for the term but was a bit disappointed there were no chocolate frogs like last end of term class.
We had morning tea at our favourite cafe. Laxmi and Varsha both had fruit salad with jugs of yoghurt on the side. We sat in the comfy couch and read magazines. We found an article in the Frankie magazine about Jo Immig and the Morsbag project. They make shopping bags out of op shop material and give them away.
We set off shopping for Varsha’s Monster High/Harry Potter party. We went looking for butter beer mugs in the op shop and found a witch’s hat instead.
We went to the fabric shop and bought some fabric to make robes out of. We fell in love with buttons and wanted to buy lots of them but couldn’t work out what we would use them for.
It got hot and we were hungry so we stopped at another cafe for strawberry frappes and hot chips.
We had a big supermarket shop and Varsha took charge of the shopping list, crossing things out as we bought them and reminding us what was left on the list.
We were all pretty tired but Varsha managed two more hours of gymnastics. She got an end of term certificate and they chose to play on the wheelie things afterwards.
Laxmi fell asleep in the car on the way home and Varsha and I talked about driving and road rules.
We had another thrilling session reading Harry Potter before bed.
