The power went off this morning and Varsha offered to go ask Duncan and Elizabeth if theirs was off too. It was. She was thrilled when they gave her one of their pomelos. She came home and ate lots of it.

John and Varsha went to the tip to look for some things to make into our gates. Varsh found some things that she thought she could weld together to make a mouse. Avea Trotter went along to the tip too.

We watched the two episodes of Life at 9 on iview that grandma had suggested we might find interesting.

We played Sleeping Queens after dinner and read Harry Potter. Varsha is impatient to hear about the Quiddich World Cup. We also looked up the new Monster High movie trailer. It is called Freaky Fusion. This movie has led to discussion about genetic engineering and hybrids and DNA.
