Varsha started making a Narnia world in minecraft today. She had the Voyage of the Dawn Treader DVD to refer to. Later on she and John went out to John’s work Christmas party. The came back with a big stash of the the things that you get out of Christmas crackers. We all wore Christmas hats for a while and Laxmi really liked a pirate eye patch which could also be a puppy dog’s nose and a baby’s dummy.

Elizabeth and Duncan came over with bananas and their dogs Tilly and Clancy. Varsha really enjoyed taking Tilly for a walk on her lead.

During dinner we talked about percentages and then when a thunderstorm came through we talked about the speed of light and sound. After dinner we watched the Backyard Science DVDs again. Varsha is keen to have a go at dinosaur fossils using plaster of paris
