Catherine and Will and Thiango and Cosmo came to stay on Saturday night. Sunday was Will’s birthday. All 12 of us went for a walk. We were planning to go to Big Mowbray Falls but we walked past the trail down the Bump Track to Robbins Creek. There were the remains of the old bridge. It was fun to imagine how the miners brought all their things up from the coast along this track with horse and cart over 100 years ago. It was a lovely spot. We backtracked to the trail but were too tired and hungry to make it all the way to the waterfall. Instead we drove to the waterhole in Julatten. There was a great swing to splash into the water.

When we got home we made birthday cards and presents and wrapped up other presents and cooked up a feast for Will’s birthday. There was a fire but the cake took too long to cool so we saved it for the next day.

The big kids watched a Narnia movie after dinner. Laxmi and Cosmo watched Stampy Longnose. We were all pretty tired.
